Where Were You On That Friday Night When The Aggies Beat The Utes (The Story)!

Hey Hey Hey It's me again, Ya Cousin, Ya Aggiefan, Ya Big Blue, T.J.
Comin' at chu with another post.

Let me set the scene for you:
It was Friday morning again but this was a different Friday. Anticipation and hope were hand in hand all through the campus because everyone knew what was going down that night. As hours passed and classes ended all eyes and hearts were set on Romney Stadium. As for me, I found myself on the sacred grounds (lol) of Merlin Olsen Field earlier that afternoon. It was closer to 4pm when the Aggie fans started to file in for this exciting occasion. This was the calm before the storm.

It was about 20 mins before game time when the U-State helmet was ready to go and the AGGIES were lined up and ready to sprint out on the field to face their rivals (Utah) in the game called "The Battle Of The Brothers" The field was set and the stadium was filled (It was a sold out game 25,513 seats). I looked up at the student section and saw an unbelievable sight. It was an ocean on fire, the Utes fans proudly wore their Red as the Aggie students cooled them down with their Aggie Blue (Which is unlike any other blue ;).

The game was a tough battle. Both the Utes and Aggies gave it everything they got! It ultimately came down to the Aggie defense in Overtime. You see, the Aggies were able to score first thing in over time on a rushing touchdown and a successful extra point field goal! Then it was the Utes turn, every Aggie fan was on the edge of their seat. When it came to 4th down for the Utes (last try) the Aggies were able to put a pause on their conquest to getting a Win! The student section stormed the field! Chants of "I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN" flooded the ears of Romney stadium. The Aggies won the game 27-20 against a tough, tough Utah team. Even Merlin Olsen was smiling down onto his field. The Aggies are still undefeated!

It was a great game and just in case you couldn't be there I attached highlights from the game on ESPN check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o3WWS320akQ
Hopefully this was enough for you to choose USU but if not, next week I got more for U!

As Always Stay True, Stay Blue, & I Luv U!
Be Encouraged! Go Aggies!!!

WEEK NUMBER 1 (WELCOME BACK!! & AGGIE FOOTBALL)

AYO AYO AYO! I'm Baack!
It's Ya MY FRIEND, Ya Aggie, Ya Scotsman comin' right back at chu!

First off let me start off by saying I hope all is well with all of my readers. After a LONG LONG summer off I can officially say I am ready. This past week was the 1st week of the semester. WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL AGGIES!!!
I want to shout-out all the new freshmen and Good Luck to you on this, your first year at USU (the best kept secret in America! Hands down!) I pretty much spent most of this past week trying to get reacquainted with campus and after a summer break that could take some doing!

This year I am so excited because there is alot of fun stuff planned for this upcoming year, too much to write about! For example, AGGIE sports, USU Musicals, Campus life, Homecoming 2012, etc. just to name a few. I will try to keep all of you updated on the happenings, sights and sound that is my home, my place, my school: USU!!!

I CALL THIS THE SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF ROMNEY STADIUM!!!
Lastly, the highlight of my week was the football game against SUU!!! We took those guys out but the thing that really made it exciting was the STUDENT SECTION! I was reminded that USU would be nothing without it's students! (feels free to quote me on that jk lol) This game meant a lot to me because I was able to witness the 1st scotsman cheer of the new year! You should've been there! The student section was packed, the smell of artificial turf hovered over the stadium, the sun was slowly setting trying to find his spot for this USU Aggie Home Opener! Then out came the band into their seats. At about 15:35 on the winding down game clock you could look to the northeast of the stadium and see the USU Aggies rush the field in the new uniforms, U-State U-State, U-State chants from the crowd! I thought  to myself if I were a Senior in high-school I couldn't imagine not going anywhere else other than USU!

Anyways I'm off, back to my studies I'm trying to kick this semester in the BUM!!! Go AGGIES!
Be Encouraged, I'm On One!

CLASSES R OVER: So whats next? & USU CHAMBER SINGERS

Hey Aggies! It's Me again, Ya Boy, Ya Harlem Knight, Ya Homeboy: T.J. Coming at you with another post to set off another week.

So let me just start off by saying CLASSES ARE OVER!!! Yup I just said that in a blog post! I am so excited because I thought this week would never come, but let me assure you we are not out of the woods just yet. A darker villain approaches with quick haste, and an unruly swift judgement. Yes I'm talking about Finals week so be on the look out during Finals Week and we shall see who will come out the VICTOR (me of course but I don't wanna give it away)

This last week of classes was great (even though I spent most of my time indoors with my head either in a book or a pillow ;) but the highlight of my week is happening this Saturday night at the performance hall @ 7:s0pm. I probably should've mention this earlier but the Utah State Chamber Singers have been invited to China for an International collegiate Choral Music Festival in Beijing!!!! This sat. night we will be performing our 50 min. concert of songs that we will be taking to China!!! It will be great we have some Samba, we have some Spiritual, we have some Masses & we have some gospel!!! So come one come all and please support us in this matter. Its been a hectic last few weeks of the semester but at least I can always look toward the horizon and hope for the best because this summer will be awesome!

Be Encouraged!

Dancing with A Symphony Orchestra

WHAT'S GOIN' ON MY AGGIES? IT's Me Ya Dancer, Ya Music Lover, Ya Music Major: T.J. Coming at you with another post! Check me out!!!

I hope this post is reaching you well. With TWO WEEKS left in classes I still can't believe that summer is right around the corner but right now is not the time to get reminiscent. I have Tests, tests, and more TESTS coming up not to mention Finals! There is always something else going on up here on campus so you can find me either on the stage performing or in the audience watching it all go down!
This week has been a none-stop roller coaster. As always my life never gets boring even in Logan. By the way The Step Show last Friday went great. All the groups that performed are all on youtube. I am soOoOo proud of my bros and all who performed! Moving foreword to this past Tuesday I was on the Kent Concert Hall stage as a guest artist/ choreographer! It was USU's very own Dance companies Vilociti, Full Circle & My Bad Crew performing in their Annual Spring Show. It was such a great show, and I had a great time coming up the choreography for Vilociti! The audience was packed and I was so excited! After the show I have decided that next year I seriously want to get more involved as an actual member. These dance companies hold an audition in the beginning of the Fall semester and they accept anyone who wants to audition, so if your gonna be going to school up here next semester hopefully i will see you at the audition.

This Thursday will be another event. The Utah Symphony Orchestra will be bringing their annual Spring tour to Logan performing "Classically Charged" I am throughly excited for this upcoming show. I love what comes out of my radio as much as the next AGGIE but every now and again you "gotta get back to the roots"Classical music is the best kind of genre. Its very sophisticated, and its always a treat when you have a orchestra of this caliber to come up to perform here at the Cain College Of The Arts! So I hope to see you in the audience tonight!

Other than that I hope all is well don't forget to continue to study hard in these last few weeks and go into the summer with a blast!
Be Encouraged!

Happy APRIL!!! HOLI & 12th ANNUAL SPRING STEP SHOW!!!

Hey! What's Goin' On? Its me again, Ya Bro, Ya Nephew, Ya Weatherman: T.J. Coming at you with another post, so check me out!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S APRIL?! Campus has been a roller coaster for weather ever since Spring Break but mostly good days. Today we had the temperature almost got up to 70 degrees!!! That is a sure sign that spring has sprung on campus.
Not too long ago was the FESTIVAL of COLORS!!! Every year to bring the new Spring Season people from all over Utah come together at the Kirsha Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah. A lot of Aggies attend this event every year. I spent most of that afternoon covered in colorful chalk =). Everything was so unexpected, but none the less an experience to remember!

This Friday I am co-producing the 12th ANNUAL SPRING STEP SHOW!!!  We will all of USU's BEST Greek Organizations all colliding on one night to bring you a show of humor, wit, and straight up entertainment! This year we will have some returning favorites such as the Sigma Chi, Kappa Delta, & Alpha Chi (just to name a few). We also have USU's very own Black Student Union, & the dance company Velociti!!! So this will be an event you won't want to miss. It happens every year and it only gets better and better, so tell your friends and everybody CUZ IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN!!!
(*The show is actually April 6th)

St. Patricks Day & A-DAY

Hey Aggies What's Goin' On?! It's Me Ya Favwite Aggie, Ya Irishman, Ya Bracketbuster, T.J. Comin' at chu again with another post so Check Me Out!!!

I hope all is well with all of you (my readers)! Let me first start off by saying Happy Spring!!! Spring has definitely Sprung up here on campus. This past week as all the students returned from spring break, there was snow on the ground on Monday but by Wednesday it was 60 degrees and above! What can I say its all about LOCATION here at USU!!! I just learned that USU main campus is 30 minutes away from several different hot springs, and nearby are seven national parks, and ten ski resorts! Talk about nothing to do!!!
This past weekend I was able to celebrate my St. Patty's day talking to my mother on the phone! It was great catching up with her on her BIRTHDAY! Being so far away from home has definitely made me miss being there a lot. I am always reminded when I get the chance to talk to incoming or potential students who complain that Utah State is TOO FAR AWAY. If I were from Utah I would jump at the chance to go to one of the best universities in this nation! A lot of current students that I've talked to say they feel very independent while up here at Logan (Main Campus). Yet they can still make it home on the weekends to see family, or to celebrate Mom's birthday =(. Today I had the chance to talk to several members of the incoming freshmen class and was able to give a testimony and share some of my experiences here at USU. I can't stress how much I LOVE UTAH STATE!!! A-Day = AGGIE Day was great. I'm sure a lot of students are as pumped as I am about coming to USU and other who were on the fence are now sure that USU is their future home!

P.S. GO AGGIES

Robots & A TRIPLE DOUBLE (WOMEN'S BASKETBALL!!!)

Hey Aggies! How's it going?!  It's Ya Boii, Ya AggieRobot, Ya Dude: T.J. Coming at you with another post!!!

This weekend I had the privilege to be one of the hosts for the annual VEX robotics competition and this year they were able to host it in the TSC. Man when I say the future is in good hands I'm not referring to all state insurance. LoL I was so encouraged to see the intelligence, cleverness, and energy of middle school, and high school students! This competition pitted state-wide schools in a head to head competition where students use robots (that they have created) to work in teams to  score points and accomplish other goals and obstacles. This experience just showed me that Utah State is not just home to Aggies, but also to the younger generation of those who would become AGGIES ;)

After the competition I went to see the USU Women's basketball team take on the Idaho Vandals. I had a great time at the game. Listening to some of the students heckling the other female players, listening to some of the cheers to get the crowd pumped. The AGGIES came out with 85-63 Win!!! The girls were on fire!!! Knocking down treys, cleaning up the boards, and great team work. Ashley Brown had a TRIPLE-DOUBLE in the game (her eighth triple double in the season!!!)

I hope all is well with all of my readers! I know its been awhile since you've seen a new video on my my friends page but don't worry more to come real soon (and I promise it will be good!!!)

Be Encouraged!!!
